Born as a military experiment of the Imperium, the Numerical Emergence (sometimes called Nu-Emergence) is a self-sufficient, self-improving AI with an ever-expanding army at her disposal. Commanded by the Mainframe Algorithm, her drone fleet benefits from an unrivaled efficiency and synchronization, all in the pursuit of the goal she was programmed for: destroying all life-forms.
"Start detection. Detected objets: lifeforms. Set state: elimination."
The Hunters, now "model B56", are the eyes and hands of the Emergence. Main firepower of her army, they move rapidly to detect and identify enemy vessels with their finely tuned technology. When overwhelmed, they can send a distress signal to call for more extensions.
"Resources: needed. Attack: available. Self-destruction: admissible."
Originally designed to serve the interests of the Empire, the Transporters were repurposed by the Mainframe to be fully autonomous agents of the Emergence. They are now old models whose task could be more efficiently achieved by recent extensions, and therefore doomed to one day be sacrificied to maximize their potential of destruction.
"Disassembling pieces. Gathering resources. Crafting extensions."
A Driller's purpose is to collect resources, such as ores, in order to craft the next generation of extensions. As the Emergence's main source of materials, they are sometimes allowed to disassemble old extensions to recover their components and stimulate the creation of new ones.
"Message: send. To bring Perfection."
